Shadows
“Renata D’Amuri!” A white bony hand slapped down onto the closed text book in front of me, automatically pulling me away from the centre of my attention.

Haunted and Hunted
Part
Fourteen
The
noise was horrific; roars and cracks came from the bundle moving
across the tomb. They were moving so fast it was hard to catch
up. I closed my eyes tight and wrapped my arms around myself.
There was one last cracking sound and then there was silence. I
waited, with my eyes closed. I didn't know what happened. I
peaked out through my eyelashes. They were both on the floor. I
heard a small shuffling sound and saw one stagger to their feet.
It was Dunkan. 'Oh crap.' I thought. He grinned and
walked towards me. In the background I saw Dillon crawl around.
He looked up at Dunkan walking towards me.
"No!" Dillon suddenly shot up and ran for Dunkan. But
Dunkan had already reached me; he bent down and sunk his teeth
into my wrist. He was taken off me in a second and Dillon had him
on the floor. It happened so quickly I didn't have time to
take it all in. My hand was burning, the room was spinning, my
touch was cold but my face was boiling, I was shaking. I stood
there clutching my wrist trying to stop the blood pouring, I
gulped every five seconds. The pain was excruciating, the bite
was so deep! The next thing I knew Dillon was at my side holding
my wrist.
"Dillon make it stop, ple-" Dillon was pushed on the
floor. I spun around and looked Dunkan in the face. He picked me
up by the shoulders and threw me onto the table in the middle of
the room. My hand was outstretched and my blood trickled onto the
table. A thunderous sound shook the tomb and the table cracked
down the middle.
"Yes" Dunkan screamed. Dillon was raging as he slammed
Dunkan down, smashing the stone floor.
The crack grew bigger and the table top craved in. I found myself
on top of an old grey vampire. Slowly, his mouth opened and
clutched around my wounded wrist. I screamed. Colour flowed
through his body again. And his eyes opened automatically. He was
tall and slim. He wore a torn black gown. His features were
similar to Dillon's. He had white eyes and blonde hair which
hovered above his shoulder blades. I looked down and saw a
necklace like Dillon's.
Amarande let my wrist go and I let my hand fall onto his
necklace. I looked up at him and saw his eyes on me. He moved
like light, we flew across the room and into the half semi-circle
of light. He pushed me onto a wall. I gulped. He had pushed me
right onto one of the many stakes into the room. I looked down
and saw that it had gone right threw me. I looked up shaking and
smiled at him.
"What a waste..." His delicate voice said as he stroked
my face
"Yes, what a waste" I repeated and looked up at the
light
"Silly girl, I have a necklace..." He smiled. Then I
held it up, the necklace he wore to protect him from sunlight. I
had pulled it off his neck when he let go of my wrist. He looked
at me in horror. The colour in his face washed away and he turned
grey. He crumbled on the floor and turned to ash. I dropped the
necklace on the floor. It was over.
Reality sunk in. I had been stabbed. I felt like I was slipping
away. Like everything was running from me. I couldn't
breathe. I looked up at Dillon who was still fighting with
Dunkan.
"Dillon" I whispered. He looked up and immediately let
go of Dunkan. Tears welled up in his eyes as he looked at me. He
came rushing over and painfully pulled me off the stake and put
me on the floor. I pressed my head against his stomach.
"Don't leave me" he cried. I looked him in the eye.
I didn't know what to say
"I love you" I choked
"I'll always love you" he whispered. He bent down
and held me tight. I didn't take my eyes off him. Things
began to become dark and my eyelids were heavy. Just hold on,
just for a little bit more, just so you can tell him...
Her eyes closed and everything stopped. She was white and cold.
Motionless… forever standing still… never moving
on. She was dead. I brushed hair out of her eyes.
"You could have changed her..." Dunkan broke the
silence
"I wouldn't have wanted this for her. Now go, before I
change my mind and kill you" I snapped
"I'm so sorry, she was an amazing girl" I
didn't reply, I just looked at her and he left. I picked her
up and left shortly afterwards.
Once we entered Atlanta again, I found the field in which we
stopped at two days ago. It was full of flowers. I spent the day
digging. I dug her grave and gently laid her in it. It look a lot
for me to bury her, it was the last time I saw her face. But I
knew I'd always love her.
I fled after that, left for good. I went to England to start a
new. It never completely worked because she was always on my
mind. I never knew how her family reacted to the loss. It was all
too much to find out.

Haunted and Hunted
Part Thirteen
"Come on. Wake up!" Dunkan's
sharp voice woke me. I opened my eyes to find that he was already
pulling me across the lawn to the car. "Hurry up!"
"I'm too tired..." I mumbled
"Oh for goodness sake" he picked me up and threw me in
the passenger seat and drove off. I looked at the clock on the
dash board, it read 4:00. I rolled over and put my head on the
window and closed my eyes.
The car came to a sharp stop and my head flung forward.
"Don't hurt yourself already." Dunkan muttered. I
gave a sarcastic laugh and slid out the car.
The clearing was dead. All the trees were bare and the grass was
long but brown. You couldn't hear any birds... There was no
sign of life anywhere, not even a bug or fly. It sent shivers up
my spine and I backed onto what was suppose to be the car, but
instead I backed onto a body. I spun around frightened and saw
Dunkan towering over me and looking down at me with piercing
eyes. He nodded to the left, gesturing me to walk with him. We
walked until we came to a grey wall with patterns on, like
Dillons necklace.
Dunkan put his hand on the wall and closed his eyes. As if like
magic, a door emerged from the wall. He opened it and beckoned me
to step inside. It was pitch black so I backed out a little and
walked straight into Dunkan. He sighed and put his arm around me
for comfort and led me down.
By the time we reached the bottom, I realised I had buried my
face into his shirt for safety. I felt his arm slip away from my
shoulder and I became twice as more scared again. Light brought
the room to life. Dunkan had found torches on the walls and set
them alight. The tomb was gloomy and stuffy. It was a circular
room and in the middle of the room was a square table that was
engraved in a language that I would never understand.
Stakes were facing inwards all the way around the room. And there
was a semi circle of sunlight shining through at the left of the
room which covered about a quarter of the whole tomb. We
obviously aren't as far underground as I thought.
"Scared?" He whispered into my ear
"No" I gulped. That was a lie, I was terrified. But if
he knew that, it would make it all the more enjoyable for him to
kill me. I heard the sound of a knife being pulled out a pocket
and Dunkan's hand on my back.
He pushed me towards the table and held my hand out over the
table. "Why don't you just slit my throat?" I asked
to buy time
"Because, I slit your throat, all your blood is drained, the
tomb is open and I have no other blood supply. So if I do kill
you, I have a crusty half dead vampire and I'll be ravenous
okay? Now..."
"B-but I thought I had to die for the tomb to be
opened?" I was still buying time
"No! You have to put your blood on the tomb for it to be
opened you don't have to die." I couldn't think of
another way to buy time. So this was it. Everything was about to
come to an end. And I was going to be the cause of many deaths to
come. I started crying and Dunkan rested the blade against my
wrist.
"You don't want to do that." A familiar voice
interrupted. We both turned around to see Dillon standing in by
the stairs.
"Looks like I'm going to have to kill you first
then." Dunkan said. He then charged for Dillon. An ear
piercing noise shattered me as they
collided...

Part
Twelve
I was left
there... alone once again. Left to find her and most probably
lose her again. I had to think positive. My time was limited, and
I only knew one place to go, Amarande Amaia's tomb. It was a
great risk, but that is where the sacrifice must be done. It had
been thousands of years since I had stepped any where near
Amarande's tomb, and my memory was very vague. All I could
remember was the clearing.
I focused back on real-life, the tomb was in pieces. It was dark
and most walls had caved in leaving me covered in mud. I turned
around and made my way back to the staircase. The staircase was
half broken from the force of power. I had to be quick. I jumped
up and slammed myself into the door. It was jammed.
"Flippin' typical" I muttered "FLIPPIN'
TYPICAL!" my shout echoed through the cave and lingered in
the air.
I sat there, in the corner of the shack waiting. My eyes fixed on
the floor boards as Dunkan paced back and forth shaking his
head.
I didn't know where I was, but I was too scared to ask. I
glanced up through my eyelashes at Dunkan, he was still pacing
and muttering troubled thoughts to himself. I moved my eyes from
him to the large wooden clock opposite me. It was almost
midnight, and I was knackered. All I wanted was two hours sleep,
surely he would let me rest. I stretched out a little and lay
with my back against the wall.
"Th-there is a bedroom over there" he glanced over to a
small wooden door.
"Thank you" I whispered. He immediately went back to
shaking his head. I staggered up and walked to the door. I
twisted the handle, plucked up my courage and leaned back around
to face him. "Are you okay?" I asked hesitantly
"Fine. Just planning tomorrow." He answered back but
didn't look up at me
"B-but your nervous?"
"Oh, and you wouldn't be?" he replied
sarcastically. True, I mean who wouldn't be nervous about
unleashing someone who could possibly kill you even when your the
one who freed them... I nodded at him in agreement and walked
into the room. The room was identical to the previous one but it
had a small bed instead of a couch. I lay down and faced the door
and prayed and eventually drifted off to sleep
I was so annoyed now, I had to get out of here. I pressed my head
against the door. Gradually light began to shine through the
cracks of the door. It carried on getting brighter and brighter.
I stepped back to have a look and then pushed the door. It swung
open and I rushed outside. It was dark out but I could just see
the thing from earlier, I was grateful. I closed my eyes to
remember the clearing. I suddenly felt wind on my face, I opened
my eyes and I was running faster than ever. I didn't know why
I was running or if I was running in the right direction, but I
couldn't
stop.

Eleven
I rolled her over. I looked at her face and
shook my head. She must have been about 23. She was beautiful.
Her hair was short and blonde, her face was pale and her bright
blue eyes were now pieces of glass. She had a bite mark on her
neck. I picked her up and ran over into the trees. I put her down
and set her on fire so no one would ever find her. I watched
until she was ash on the leaves. I then left, I didn’t know
where I was going, but something was telling me that I was going
the right way. Once again, I kept in the trees so I was
unnoticed.
I stopped; I heard something running around me. It came running
straight at me and pushed me on the floor. Once I re-focused I
saw what had attacked me. It was crouching on the floor staring
at me. It was completely black and looked like a huge cat.
“Were is she?” it hissed
“Even if I knew I wouldn’t tell you.” I hissed
back
“Ah. You’ve lost her.” It said humorously.
“You have no chance of getting her back.”
“I will get her back.”
“No you won’t” it twisted its head to the left
and its eyes poured into me “Everything has
awoken.”
“By everything, you mean…”
“Everything!...” it interrupted. “and if you
tell me who has taken her, maybe we can get to her in
time”
“Someone called M?”
“Ohhhh, you know nothing. M has been dead for years. He is
leading you onto the wrong trail.”
“How comes I never got told that M had died?”
“Because, only me and Dunkan, Amarande’s guardian,
know.” We both looked at each other; we both knew who it
now was.
We ran off and didn’t stop. It was fast, a lot faster than
me. I had no intention of know who it was; I just had to get to
Charlea. We had been running for a while when we stopped. There
was nothing in front off me; I didn’t know why it had
stopped.
“We’re here.” It sounded like it was almost
hypnotised. It bent down and brushed leaves off the floor to
reveal a wooden door. It slowly stepped to the side and looked at
me. Like a ghost, it disappeared; it looked like it melted into
the wind.
I bent down and opened the door. A gust on old wind blew in my
face. There was steep wooden stairs leading down into the pit. I
carefully stepped down, trying to make hardly any noise. I
reached the bottom of the stairs. There was a low light to my
left so I followed it. I came to a gate, and then I saw her.
Charlea, she was laying on the floor.
“CHARLEA!” I shouted as I ran to the gate
“Dillon? DILLON!” she got up and stumbled to the gate
and reached for me
“I’m going to get you out, I promise!”
“No. Dillon, you have to get out of here!”
“Not without you.”
The whole room became unsteady, a great wind thrust at us
both.
“I TOLD YOU NOT TO COME!” a scream exploded into the
room, it was like a bomb. Everything went black. When I opened my
eyes, I was laying on the floor, the gate was off its hinges and
everything was ruined… and she was
gone
Haunted and Hunted
Part Ten
The floor was hard and cold, my head was
pounding and I ached all over. I rolled over onto my front and
stumbled up. I was in a stone circular room. I slowly turned
around; there was no one inside the room with me. I was all
alone. There was a gate opposite me, I couldn’t see what
was beyond the gate, it was just pitch black. I run up to the
gate and slammed myself against it
“Who are you!” I shouted as I slammed myself against
the gates over and over again. An evil, spine shivering laugh
echoed the room. “Let me out of here!” I didn’t
get a response, but I got a scare. Nothing happened for multiple
seconds so I rested my head against the gate. He came rushing
forward through the black and pressed his face up against mine
and roared. The whites of his eyes were red and his fangs were
elongated. I screamed and stumbled back. He pushed open the gates
and slowly stepped into the room.
He was tall and pale. He had short brown hair and piercing black
eyes. He walked over to me and bent down. He hovered a centimetre
away from me and lifted my chin up and moved my head from side to
side
“aww.” He mumbled then stood back up. I gathered up
my courage and stood up.
“Who are you?” I made my words firm and slow
“You know who I am. I stood in the middle of the road when
your parents died.” I gasped and tears rolled down my face.
I brought my hand up and slapped him round the face
“You monster!” I shouted. Surprisingly he
didn’t retaliate. He just stood there and looked at me.
“You’ll thank me later.”
“For what? Thank you for what?” I asked
“Would you rather your boyfriend do this
instead?”
“Dillon? Don’t you hurt Dillon! And Dillon would
never hurt me!” I shouted
“Paha! Dillon doesn’t love you! He’s using you
for the same reason as me, he led you on and later he would have
killed you.”
“W-what are you talking about?” I was worried
“Let me tell you a little story” his calm voice said.
He went and sat down against a wall and I followed him.
“You must understand that by now that everything paranormal
walks this earth. Well, vampires were superior against everything
else paranormal. And like every country there is a ruler. And one
million or so years ago everything normal, like you, feared us
and lived underground, and we could walk around all the time. But
now, they’re just stories that no one believes. But anyway,
our ruler Amarande Amaia, feared nothing. He was the most
powerful thing you will ever experience. His name meant
‘immortal end’, which is the reason he was so
powerful according to some people. But, he came across the demon,
in which he’d betrayed many times. The demon locked
Amarande in a tomb and told us to get him out we must sacrifice
the blood of you. Everyone paranormal was given your picture and
name and ever since was on the hunt for you. Dillon was extremely
eager to get you and kill you as he naturally is blood thirsty.
And that, is why you are here.” I just sat there, shocked
that Dillon had lied to me and wanted to kill me. I was going to
die. I was going to unlock world’s most feared evil.
Everyone would be dead, because of my death. There was nothing I
could say
“When-when are you going to kill me?” I mumbled
looking at the floor
“Tomorrow. Don’t worry, I’ll make it as painful
as possible” he laughed evilly
“What’s your name?”
“Dunkan” he got up and walked to the gates and turned
around to look at me
“The dark one.” I stared at him
“Ha. Not that limited on your paranormal knowledge are
we?” he grinned then closed the door and walked off into
the darkness. I was now alone. I laid down and closed my eyes and
cried.
Haunted and Hunted
Part Nine
I could see the sun setting
just behind the trees and the sky above me was black. I decided
to move quicker. I was storming through the forest, counting how
many animals I had drank in my head, seven deer’s.
‘hmm, that should keep me going’ I thought.
I approached the house to see the lights off. I quickly glanced
at my watch, 7 o’clock. Was she getting an early night? I
opened the door to find the living room completely empty. I
walked into the room carefully, something wasn’t right. I
glanced around to find nothing peculiar. I trod carefully across
the room and into Charlea’s bedroom. She wasn’t
inside. Panic shot through me and landed in the pit of my
stomach. I flashed into Charlea’s on-suite. The human sized
mirror in the furthest corner was shattered over the floor. A
million possibilities ran through my mind.
But my nose caught up a sent that I didn’t recognize.
Someone had taken her away. I automatically left the house. My
car wasn’t there. She hadn’t been kidnapped, but
frightened away. I turned around quickly and started running to
my left. I kept deep in the trees, following the scent of her
sweet, delicate perfume.
I stopped dead in my tracks, her scent was gone, and immediately
like a switch I could no longer smell her around me. I spun
around just to catch the smallest glimpse of her scent… or
even her. I spun round once and caught the trail again, once I
found a way across the busy main road I found myself outside a
hotel, I could smell her strong and clear. I turned my head
quickly and saw my car, she wasn’t inside the car, she was
inside the hotel… with loads of other people… that
she didn’t know… pretending to be anyone. Panic
exploded inside of me as I burst open the door. I attempted to
run through the double doors which lead into the main lobby, but
the guards stopped me asking if I was staying here, I told them
that my girlfriend was inside waiting for me, they eventually let
me in. I slid into the main lobby and scanned the room, she
wasn’t in the lobby. I took in one deep sniff and caught
the slightest scent of her light delicate perfume. I span on my
heel and run off into the furthest corridor. I charged up six
flights of stairs and gradually the scent became stronger.
Finally, I found myself outside a door. Pressing my ear up
against the wood I could here nothing but the rhythmic sound of
dripping water. I pushed the door open and stepped inside. The
room was trashed and she wasn’t inside. I jogged into the
bathroom. It was covered in blood. I fell to my knees; the room
begun to spin, the throat stun and ached and my eyes watered. I
pushed the tips of my fingers into my temples as I staggered up.
I was shacking. There were smudged red handprints everywhere. I
glanced up towards the bath tub; it was overflowing with red
water. I trod carefully over to the bath. The water was thick
red. There was a piece of paper floating on top of the bloody
water. I picked it up and held it a great distance away from me
and read it.
Don’t
look for her. You look for her and she’s dead. You know why
I have her, because you want her for the same reason. What a
shame that someone so beautiful is going to die. So, go back to
your town and forget about her and let me do what I have to do
okay? If you come for her, you’ll regret it more than
anything. M.
I
crushed the paper in my hand and threw it out of the room, I was
fuming. How could he know so much? M. M must be his initials. I
have to find some other vampires, maybe they’ll know
something. Yes, that’s what I must do. It will be hard to
find other vampires as they’re always on the go, but
it’s worth it.
Within a click of your fingers I was standing outside the hotel.
It had stopped raining and I was all alone. But someone caught my
eye; she was lying on the floor. I looked around to see if anyone
was coming, no one was. I walked over to her, observing her as I
walked closer. I bent down and rolled her
over…

Haunted and Hunted
Part
Eight
There was
something different about Dillon, I couldn’t notice it
though. I pulled away from his hug a little and focused more on
his face. He looked at me with confused eyes. His eyes…
that was it, his eyes had lost all of its beautiful ice blue
colour and turned black.
“Your… eyes!” I pointed out. He looked down
and rubbed them with his thumb and forefinger. “Dillon, is
something wrong?” I bent my head down to look him in the
eye.
“I’m just… hungry…” he
muttered
“Oh…” I touched my neck wondering whether he
had thought of killing me while he held me five minutes ago.
“Don’t worry… I won’t hurt you, but
I’m going to have to go and feed before I hurt
you.”
“I’ll come with you” I pulled away from him
properly and walked back into the bedroom. Inside the bedroom I
walked over to the bed and picked up my trainers and walked back
out. I smiled at him as I sat down on the floor and slipped them
on.
“No Charlea.”
“Why?” my face twisted with confusion
“Because, you haven’t seen me at my strongest…
if you come with me there’s a possibility that I’ll
feed on you afterwards, and I don’t want to do
that…” slipping my shoes back off, I just nodded
understandingly. He spun around and left me standing in the house
on my own. I had no idea how long he was be gone for, but it
couldn’t be that long. I walked over to the peach sofa and
sat down crossed legged looking at the floor. A wave of powerful
tiredness came over me… what was the time? I looked up at
the clock that was pinned high up on a wall which read
’13:00’ wow, I must have been asleep for ages! I
stood up and walked past the bedroom door into the kitchen.
Reaching for a glass I thought I noticed someone standing outside
the window diagonal to me. I freaked out and fell backwards onto
the floor still holding the glass. I landed on my back and
accidently dropped the glass. When I re-focused myself I noticed
that the glass had shattered into hundreds of tiny, sharp pieces.
Carefully, I brushed them off my trousers and stood up.
Gradually, I brushed them all up and put them in a small bin in
the corner of the room. After putting the broken glass in the
bin, I walked back into my bedroom and into the small on-suite on
the left side of the room. There was a long human size mirror
placed in the furthest corner. I tiptoes across the room, and
gently took my clothes off. I had remembered that it was
essential that I wasn’t bleeding; I could attract any
vampires within the area! I scanned my naked body, every now and
again touching my skin to make sure there wasn’t a small
cut anywhere. I was okay! I bent down and put my trousers
on. When I stood up, I looked in the mirror… there was
something looking at me in the mirror that shouldn’t be
there. I yelped and span around. I could hear my heart pounding
in my head, my body was hot and my hands were clammy. He was
tall; he wore a black shirt that was tight on his body, which
emphasised how big his muscles were. He had huge wide shoulders.
His was slim and pale. His curly hair covered his forehead and
ears. His piercing, big green eyes poured into me. I didn’t
say a word
“Go back.” His voice sliced the air with one quick
breath.
“Wh… what?”
“Go back.” He spoke more slowly. His posture
hadn’t moved and his eyes were still fixed on me.
“Are you working for… him?” I questioned
hesitantly. He moved quicker than I had ever seen Dillon move. He
slammed me up against the mirror and it shattered into a million
pieces as it sprinkled over us.
“Do you understand? If you do not leave and return, he will
hunt you down and kill everyone you love. Even your precious
little vampire boyfriend! Do you understand?” his bellow
shook the ground; I could do nothing but nod. “Good, we
will be expecting you.” He looked up at my forehead, were a
small cut lay. He ran his fingers quickly over it, removing any
blood. Removing his hand from my neck, he vanished.
I was alone. Left with only the silence for miles around. I knew
I couldn’t go back, he would kill me and attack the whole
town, I had to lure him away from Oak Town. And I had to do it
fast. Dillon. Dillon wouldn’t let me do this, I knew for
sure… so I will do it without him!
I pushed myself out the bathroom, shutting the door as I left. I
reached for my leather jacket, rucksack and shoes. I left the
house and jumped into Dillon’s unlocked car. I slammed my
foot down and spun all the way around the house, I’d hate
to think that Dillon came through a back route. Finding nothing I
roared down the dirt track, everything was so uneasy until I
reached the highway where I was with tens of other cars, I
decided to relax.
I saw multiple signs of hotels, but didn’t stop at one. It
was now 5 o’clock and I’d been driving for almost 7
hours, I didn’t know where I was. I finally pulled over and
checked in at the nearest hotel. The room was small, two rooms; a
bathroom… and everything else piled into the other. I once
felt unsettled. I wanted Dillon.
After sitting for an hour on the edge of the bed waiting for
something to happen, I decided I’d feel safer if I was
surrounded by other people. I picked myself up and left the room.
Walking down empty corridors was hell, so it resulted in me
running until I met society in the main
lobby
Haunted and Hunted
Part
Seven
I woke up with my
head pressed against the window, my head was pounding! I frowned
and sat up straight, I wrested my head back and murmured.
“Wh…”
“’Wh…’ what?” he said slyly.
“Where are we Dillon?”
“No where that concerns you…” he looked at me
out of the corner of his eye and sighed “we’re in
Five Forks, don’t worry… we are still around
Atlanta…” he said
“Dillon…” I waited for a response but knew I
wouldn’t get one. “Dillon, pull over.” I still
had my eyes closed, I felt like I was about to be sick
“Hmm… Nope.”
“Dillon… Please. I feel sick!” my stomach was
whirling over and over again
“Urgh, you were so much more fun earlier…” He
spun the steering wheel around multiple times and the car ended
up at the side of the deserted road. I swung out the car and
instantly landed on the floor in a lump, I burst into tears. He
was by my side within a second; he pulled me up onto his lap and
cradled me.
“Dillon… I don’t know what to do” I
looked up at him
“I know I’m here… I’m going to keep you
safe, but you need to trust me okay?” he kissed the top of
my head and held me tighter.
“Take me there then…” I whispered against his
chest
“Huh?”
“Take me where you were going to take me to keep everyone
safe”
“I promise you will be keeping everyone safe. Trust
me.”
“I trust you…” I looked up at him and he
lowered his head, he pressed his lips against mine and picked me
up. He put me back in the car and drove. I clutched onto his hand
for the whole journey, I love him… I really do. I watched
him for ages, and then turned my head and watched the sky change
to deep blue. Eventually, I closed my eyes. I woke up the next
morning in a bed. I looked around, I didn’t recognize the
room I was in; the walls were painted peach and all the furniture
was wood. I slowly got out of bed and walked out of the small
bedroom, the next room looked exactly the same as the previous
one. I circled the room, Dillon wasn’t there. A shot of
panic exploded through me. Next, I felt light, delicate hands
around my waist, he spun me around and I breathed with
relief.
“Morning.” He smiled a one half smile and pulled me
closer. He looked at me in the eyes… “Stop worrying.
He isn’t here, your safe.” But something was so
worrying about his sentence because as he finished the sentence
he looked around as if he was looking for him to be sure
himself.
“Okay... Were are we Dillon?” I questioned
“I use to live here, ages ago. No one else lives here,
probably no one knows the house is here, we’re in the
middle of the woods.”
“Okay…” I stared at him for several seconds
and then whispered “I love you.”
“I love you so much Charlea! I promise you, I will do
everything I can to protect you” he brought both his hands
up and placed them either side of my face “I will not let
you die, even if that means making you a vampire. I cannot live
without you.” He sent my heart flying, I’d never felt
like this before. It was going to be me and him forever,
right?
