Aww :/ I don't want to be mean and hope she says no, but that's personally what I would be thinking. If she says yes, then encourage him and still be friends with him, stay by his side. And if she says no, do the same thing. Never give up. (:

and when you have conversations with him in real life, look him in the eye - more specifically, at his pupils. if they get larger while he's talking to you, it means he likes what he sees ;) it may take a couple minutes or less until it's noticable. this is true for both genders...so let's hope he doesn't know this trick! :P

I don't want to give you false information, but I personally think he might like you a little bit. I'm not an expert on guys but if that's the situation then he might at least want to be friends with him. Chat him up a little more, whether it's real life or through text, and become friends with him. If you become good enough friends with him (like really really really good friends, close to best friends - though getting this far on the friendship level takes a ton of time and a little effort) then you might be able to tell him that you like him, and he'll accept it.

WARNING!!!!
It worked for me with my best friend - I told him I liked him and he doesn't mind. BUUUUUT, not all guys are the same, so IT MAY NOT WORK FOR YOU. Don't try this tactic unless you're POSITIVE he's the kind of guy who will accept you if you're close enough friends. I'm sorry if you do this and it doesn't work, I don't know him or the type of guy he is, soo.. :/
